Terms and conditions

Effective date: November 3, 2025

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all quotes, work orders, and services provided by Home Heroes Handyman Service LLC and Home Heroes Pest Solutions (“Home Heroes,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By requesting service, accepting a quote, scheduling, paying a deposit, signing a work order, or using our website/portal, you agree to these Terms.

1) Scope of Services

We provide residential and commercial handyman and pest-control services. Specific services, materials, and pricing are listed on your estimate or work order. Anything not listed is excluded. We reserve the right to refuse unsafe, unlawful, or unreasonable requests.


2) Estimates, Pricing, and Changes

  • Estimates are based on visible conditions and information provided and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. 
  • Time & materials: If a fixed price is not quoted, billing is at our current rates. 
  • Changes/Extras: Client-requested changes or hidden conditions discovered during work will require a change order and may affect price and timeline. 
  • Minimums/Trip fees may apply.
     

3) Scheduling, Access, and Site Conditions

  • Client must provide safe, timely access, clear work areas, electricity, water, and restroom access. 
  • Remove fragile/valuable items from the area before we start. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or items not moved. 
  • If we cannot access the site or conditions are unsafe, a missed-appointment fee may apply.
     

4) Client Responsibilities

  • Tell us about known hazards (mold, asbestos, lead paint, live wires, aggressive pets, wasp nests, etc.). 
  • Follow any prep instructions we provide (e.g., clearing under sinks, food storage, sanitation steps). 
  • For pest services, maintain sanitation, landscaping, and structural standards required for treatment efficacy.
     

5) Permits, Codes, and Third Parties

Unless explicitly included in writing, client is responsible for permits, HOA approvals, and inspections. We follow manufacturer instructions and applicable codes for the work we perform, but we are not responsible for pre-existing code violations.


6) Materials and Product Selection

We may supply standard materials or install client-supplied items if they are on site and in new, working condition. We are not responsible for manufacturer defects, discontinued products, or delays from suppliers. Client-supplied items that fail or don’t fit may incur additional labor.


7) Payments, Deposits, and Late Fees

  • Deposit may be required to schedule materials and labor. Deposits are applied to the final invoice.
  • Payment due upon completion unless stated otherwise on your invoice.
  • Late fees: 1.5% per month (18% APR) or the maximum permitted by law on past-due balances.
  • Chargebacks or returned payments incur bank and admin fees. Unpaid accounts may be sent to collections; client is responsible for reasonable collection and attorney costs as allowed by law.
  • We retain lien rights as permitted.
     

8) Cancellations and No-Shows

  • Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee.
  • If we arrive and cannot begin due to lack of access or required prep not completed, a no-show or return-trip fee may apply.

9) Limited Warranty (Handyman)

  • We warrant our labor against defects for 12 months from completion unless otherwise stated.
  • Warranty excludes: normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, owner-supplied products, damage by others, acts of nature, and issues caused by hidden or pre-existing conditions.
  • Our obligation is to repair or re-perform warranted labor; no other remedies are available.
     

10) Limited Warranty (Pest Control)

  • We follow label directions and industry standards.
  • Any service guarantee applies only to the pest(s) listed on your service ticket and only if the client maintains sanitation, structural, and environmental conditions required for control.
  • Re-infestation from neighboring properties, new entry points, construction changes, or client-owned items is not covered.
  • Exclusion/sealing warranties are limited to the specific points we sealed; structures move and degrade over time. Ongoing maintenance may be required.
     

11) Safety, Pets, and Personal Property

  • Keep children and pets away from work areas and treated zones until we advise re-entry.
  • We may take reasonable measures to protect surfaces but are not liable for incidental cosmetic scuffs in active work zones.
  • We are not responsible for damage to concealed utilities, wiring, or plumbing not accurately marked or disclosed.
     

12) Environmental and Hazardous Materials

We do not remediate asbestos, lead, mold, or other hazardous substances. If encountered, we will pause work and discuss options. Testing and abatement are the client’s responsibility.


13) Wildlife and Roofing Limitations

We do not trap or relocate protected wildlife. Roof work is limited to safe-access tasks explicitly listed on the work order and may be weather dependent.


14) Photos and Documentation

We may take before/after photos for documentation and quality control. We will not publicly share identifiable images of your property without your consent. To opt out of nonessential photos, notify us in writing before service.


15) Communications and SMS Consent

By providing your phone or email, you consent to receive messages about scheduling, service updates, invoices, and optional promotions. Message/data rates may apply. Opt out of marketing texts any time by replying STOP; essential service messages may still be sent.


16) Website, Quotes, and Portal Use

Your use of our website and customer portal is subject to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Content is provided “as is.” Do not misuse the site or attempt to access others’ information.


17) Insurance and Licensing

We maintain required licensing and insurance for our listed services in Oregon. We comply with product label laws and applicable regulations for pest-control applications.


18) Limitations of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

19) Indemnification

Client agrees to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of client’s breach of these Terms, unsafe site conditions under client’s control, or misuse of products after service.


20) Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, supply disruptions, illness, or utility outages.


21) Disputes, Governing Law, and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Any dispute not resolved informally may be brought in small claims court or the state courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon. Each party waives any objection to venue and personal jurisdiction there.


22) Severability; Entire Agreement

If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Your estimate/work order and these Terms are the entire agreement for the services described, superseding prior proposals or conversations.


23) Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The Effective Date above shows the latest revision. Continued use of our services after changes indicates acceptance.
